Policy JBC: Las Cruces Public Schools unanimously approves highly contested equity policy

After a split public comment and a discussion interrupted by several calls to order with bangs from the president's gavel, the Las Cruces Public Schools Board of Education voted to approve Policy JBC on Tuesday evening.

"Policy JBC: Equity and Excellence for All Students" is the district's proposal for actions LCPS will take to ensure an equitable learning environment.
