Throughout my journalistic career, I've continued to find interest in print and photographic journalism. Although most of my experience is in written storytelling, I enjoy experimenting with video and other multimedia. I want to continue trying out new creative ways to tell others' stories.

I hope to apply my interest in language and cultural studies to my journalistic career. With my Spanish skills and developing Japanese skills, I plan to reach a wider audience by reporting multilingually. I traveled to Lima, Peru in March 2019 with that goal in mind, and was able to report on the economic and social crisis that has driven 700,000 Venezuelans to Peru. I also traveled to Japan for two months in the summer of 2019 in order to gain a broader view of the world and the cultures it has to offer.
